The Simple Method for Streamlining and Making Household Life Much Easier

The 2:1 Method is an easy approach I utilise at home to reduce stress and make sure I never run out of essential items. It’s super simple, every item which is essential and would annoy me if we ran out of, I buy two of them and once the first item is empty, finished or no longer functioning I then add it to my shopping list for the next time I’m shopping.

There are some items I update to the 3:1 Method depending on the extra effort it would be for me to go and get a replacement. For example if I like a certain product from a certain store which is out of my way, I would upgrade this to a 3:1 Method. I would also update if the general time it takes me to get a replacement is usually longer than using the item itself.

Let’s take toothpaste for example, if you all of a sudden ran out you would be in not a good situation and most of the time by the time you realise you need to buy a replacement, you need to really make an extra effort. Imagine if you finish one tube of toothpaste, you take the replacement from your storage and then you add it to your shopping list. It is highly likely you will go shopping a few times before the new tube runs out and thus reducing stress and hassle with this topic.

This method can be applied to a number of areas of your life but I think its best to start with household items.
